The problem, though, is “who gets to define racism?”
Because right now, the Left is getting to do so, and thus *you* are a racist. You might not think you are, you might even vigiourously deny it, but you are.
Make no mistake - the radical Left is not a “fringe.” People like Vox, Daily Kos, etc. who are ideologically nearly identical with antifa - they are basically mainstream in the Democrat Party, and thus among the various entrenched elements of the Deep State/federal and state bureaucracies which are still in place even after Obama left office.
These folks truly believe the “all whites are racist/gun owners are racist/Republicans are racist/NRA is racist/everybody we don’t like is racist”
They truly believe that American white culture and the nation *as it was founded and built by whites* is inherently racist. I even saw one Left source - a writer for one of their major e-zines - declaring that “white America was the original Nazis,” and doing so entirely unironically.
This is why I’m not spending an inordinate amount of time “distancing” myself from the little neo-Nazi/WN fringe - all this does is plays into their narrative and makes you jump through their hoops.
I’m much more concerned about the attempts to use “Nazis” as a justification for curtailing free speech, and even the ability of opponents of the Left to, say, hold jobs and freely associate, etc., than I am about the “Nazis” themselves. “Nazi” is just the modern version of “kulak,” a nothing term which merely signals that someone is out of favour with the ruling leftist elite.
Everyone is a little racist, or tribalist. Its unavoidable. The US does not hold an exclusive position here. You want to see racism? POCs are infinitely safer in white neighborhoods than whites in POC neighborhoods in ANY country. Fact.
