IE. In the 1600s the British government cleared some of the poor houses and streets of the undesirables and sold them into SLAVERY. WHITE SLAVES were sold to the colonies.

Later, they cleared the Scottish Highlands and deported them all over the world. Some to indentured servitude and some to out and out slavery.
