On balance, I totally agree with you about not chasing rabbits, and digging holes with Twitter, but in this case the whole Charlotte thing was starting to get out of control. With all the CEO’s, WalMart, the Fox infobabe, etc. the narrative was spinning into a dangerous orbit. In this case I think Trump simply had to get out in front and stop this outlandish escalation.
