“You may have the right to free speech, but you don’t have the right to a job.”

Actually, Colorado has a law that protects free speech. You can’t fire someone for activities outside of work. That’s called extortion. We protect free speech from employers thinking they own your actions.

Those who are fired from their job for expressing their political views may be able to sue their employers for wrongful termination or violation of said Colorado law.

However, they will have to take the stand at the civil trial and explain to a jury why they were at that rally, carrying a torch and associating themselves with white supremacists.

They have that right.
