“it does seem that he sped up after he got hit”
Correlation is not causation. His path is directly towards the crowded street. He never deviates from his path.
With that said, the video does show him swerving slightly to avoid a couple of people in the road.
This is America... there is enough correlation for reasonable doubt.
Would a reasonable person... legally driving on a street... surrounded by people armed with baseball bats attempt to flee in the event his vehicle was struck?
You would too.
“He never deviates from his path”.
BS, you mean like the two cars before him drove down the street? He was driving slowing down the street, as cars before him did, he only speed up after his car was hit a baseball bat
Exactly where is he supposed to “deviate” to, when there are buildings on both sides?
I know many people who drive like idiots, before hitting the brakes late. Do you know this drivers typical driving techniques and habits?
My point is that it looks like he accelerated after his car was hit or at least swung at by someone. Was there other damage done to the other side or from the front (where we can’t see)?
You, like the prosecutor, have decided that this guy is a “bad guy”; therefore, he MUST HAVE done this on purpose. Fact is, he may have done just that very thing. BUT, your longer video does NOT prove that he INTENDED to injure or kill anyone.
I’m not defending his actions, nor the actions of the idiots around him, but you have decided to crucify him based on YOUR opinion. And then your defense is he didn’t “deviate from his path” on a narrow street, with buildings on both sides, and people all around? Okay,
