“Stanford used to be a good school, pioneers in computer science.”
About a decade ago Stanford stopped recruiting the smartest and started looking at the “whole student”
Like what had they really done in their life besides getting an education, is now very important. Often the best fabricators get selected versus good students without the fabrication.
How many 18 year old kids have done anything in their lives with the exception of the jocks and the smartest?
And of those, how many have done anything worthwhile.
I wasn't paying attention when Stanford went from a solid school to the usual mush.
