Judicial Watch: Media Ignore Lawsuit Against DNC, Wasserman Schultz

(CNSNews.com) -- News outlets are ignoring a class-action lawsuit filed by 150 Democrat voters and donors against the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and its former chair, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, for the “breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, unjust enrichment, and negligent misrepresentation for secretly helping Clinton get the presidential nomination over Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders,” according to Judicial Watch.

The 35-page lawsuit claims that Wasserman Schultz and the DNC were biased towards Hillary Clinton and actively assisted her in winning her party’s 2016 nomination, arguing that “the DNC was not neutral.”

“To the contrary, the DNC was biased in favor of one candidate, Hillary Clinton, from the beginning and throughout the process,” reads the legal complaint. “The DNC devoted its considerable resources to supporting Clinton above any of the other Democratic candidates.”

“Through its public claims to being neutral and impartial, the DNC actively concealed its bias from its own donors as well as donors to the campaigns of Clinton’s rivals, including Bernie Sanders,” reads the lawsuit.

The DNC’s apparent bias towards Clinton was first uncovered in July 2016, when the website WikiLeaks released thousands of emails between high-ranking Democratic Party officials appearing to demonstrate a coordinated effort to elect Clinton as the nominee. Shortly thereafter, Wasserman Schultz resigned her post as DNC chairwoman.

“Democrats suing her insist that the congresswoman violated DNC’s charter and bylaws that say the party chair ‘shall exercise impartiality and evenhandedness’ and ‘shall be responsible for ensuring that the officers and staff of the DNC maintain impartiality and evenhandedness,’” reports Judicial Watch.

“Wasserman Schultz also made public declarations vowing to run a neutral primary, according to the lawsuit, while she and the DNC pushed for Clinton from the start of the 2016 presidential election cycle,” said Judicial Watch.

The lawsuit also claims that the DNC and Debbie Wasserman Schultz had knowledge of the wrongfulness of their actions.

A Sanders-supporting husband and wife from Miami have taken the lead on the lawsuit and even created a website dedicated to exposing the DNC’s alleged corruption.

Moreover, this is not the only scandal with which the former DNC chairwoman is involved. One of Wasserman Schultz’s IT aides was arrested while trying to fly out of the country on charges of alleged banking fraud.

“For unknown reasons, Wasserman Schultz kept [Imran] Awan, whose entire family is embroiled in a major scam, and he had access to her emails and files as well as the password to the electronic device the congresswoman used for DNC business before she was booted out last summer,” reported Judicial Watch.

“Wasserman Schultz’s gatekeepers are shielding the notoriously media savvy politician from the media and a Florida newspaper points out that ‘the Weston Democrat has not explained why she continued to employ Awan,’ until his arrest. Judicial Watch has launched an investigation and is pursuing public records,” stated the government watchdog group.

“Media Ignore Lawsuit Against DNC, Wasserman Schultz”

True. This has been the first time that I heard about it.

DWS is a corrupt snake of the highest order. I wish her nothing but misery and suffering for the rest of her life.

We’re going to have to legislate some kind of news organization fairness and accountability.

If you want to be considered a legitimate news source and claim the perks that go along with it (white house briefing room seat, microphone on the podium, stuff like that) you will have to voluntarily agree to a certain level of disclosure, reporting and accountability to include requiring the publisher to answer questions in live format on a weekly basis about what they covered, what they didn’t, how they framed things, the language they used, etc. Stuff like that.

Selective coverage and fake news have got to come to an end. Fair and honest reporting is absolutely crucial to our system of government and our system will not survive with the MSM being so dishonest and agenda driven in favor of the left.

Of course they are. The MSM are controlled by Democrats and staffed with liberals who vote Democrat.

That has been painfully obvious, especially, these past 9 years.

Judges are so corrupted theses days that if this gets before a Clinton supporting judge it will likely get quashed. If it gets before a BernieBot judge then mayonnaise head may roll.

Debbie was a pox on the DNC so they dumped her b/c emails surfaced indicating she fixed the primary for Hillary....

THE FIX INCLUDES OUTRIGHT THIEVERY --- Debbie "electronically rerouted" donations earmarked for Bernie’s into Hillary's campaign account.

Imran, Debbie's Paki IT staffer (currently under arrest for bank fraud) musta set-up that high-tech steal.

It is astounding that perhaps the best coverage I’ve seen on the Wasserman-Shultz affair has been on RT - Russian Television - in the last few days - a program called “Crosstalk” on which all four panelists took turns outlining the WS-Awan connection right down to wondering why a top lawyer for the Clintons would undertake the defense of a low-level ‘rat IT worker, why the FBI had not seized Hillary’s server when she had destroyed thousands of emails which were under congressional subpoena, and if maybe, since both the congressional IT material and Hillary’s emails were stored on “the Cloud” at one point or another, this was the nexus of the leak of DNC material to Wikileaks - maybe more astounding, this is a program which was originally aired last April according to an announcement made at the end of the show.....

Lawsuits will proceed whether or not they are publicized, or not. Perhaps the press is doing their political fan base a disservice by not publicating.

If we are to have a free country, we must have a free press that reports, more or less accurately, the news of the day. No journalist should have the power to spike a story just because it negatively impacts a scoundrel they like, or who sends money their way. If the whole or majority of the media is controlled by a small group and disseminates fake news, the country will not be able to make good decisions by voting.

The media has continuously not reported the Imran Awan scandal, the South Florida happenings, the DWS lawsuit etc.

Donald Trump is the first to confront the fake news media for what it really is. Other Republicans treated the media propagandists with a respect they did not deserve.

Fox News is in the process of converting from a conservative perspective based news station to a Democrat oriented propaganda outlet. They have a lot of "journalist propagandists" on today who are blaming Trump for Charlottesville.
