First Daughter Ivanka Trump denounced white nationalists following the deadly clashes in Charlottesville, Va., something her father has failed to do.
“There should be no place in society for racism, white supremacy and neo-nazis,” Trump wrote in a two-part tweet Sunday morning.

I’m sorry, Ivanka, but ‘society’ and government are not the same things. There is no room in our system of laws and government for racism (black, white or otherwise), or totalitarian politics (Nazi or Communist, or whatever), but we can’t stop people from holding such views, or expressing their views. People have a right to be a**holes, or we become too much like them ourselves.

The loose association we enjoy here is made up of people that believe in the Constitution. That Constitution protects these white supremists and neo-nazis and even the KKK, until they break the law. The belief systems of those groups, as well as Muslim Supremists, and the wackos on the left are all incompatible with the Constitution. None of them allow for the existence of others beliefs. Pointing this out is the easiest way for our movement to distance itself from the Klan and Nazis, and dispel the left's effort to pin those easy labels on us.
