Your experience is meaningless. Half the Freepers are on the Antifa side it seems.

More than that - many of them are paid disinformation agents from various leftist outlets. The gameplan is to create an incident, then try to discredit those who would contradict the leftist talking points using argument or eyewitness accounts. Signs that someone is a paid disinformant:

1) They try to characterise the entire rally, and movement by extension, as "Nazis," "white supremacists," "KKK," etc., despite this applying perhaps to only a small minority of participants.

2) Their talking points sound identical or very similar to those put out by hard left outlets. Hint: they sound the same because they come from the same source.

3) They will claim the right-wing organization in question is funded or otherwise substantially supported by Soros, the Rockefellers, SPLC, ACLU, or some other group which they know conservatives are hostile toward.

4) They will encourage conservatives to "punch right," so as to disunite those all across the right end of the spectrum who are largely agreed in opposing major elements of the leftist agenda.

5) They will often claim to be present or ex-military or police so as to lend an "official" or "patriotic" aura to what they say.

Keep in mind that many left-wing orgs have spent years infiltrating conservative and right-wing outlets, with the dual purpose of converging them leftward (i.e. taking over leadership and subverting them) and sowing dissention within the ranks. Free Republic has assuredly been targeted as well. Watch out!

You owe it to the forum to name names.

Okay, I know you're mind is already made up, but I just want to point out that no decent right winger has any business participating in a coalition with Nazis, even if the latter are only a "small minority." This is identical to the Communist "united front" transmission belts that used "decent" left wingers to magnify the influence of a minority of Communists.

Whatever happened to G-d in all this? G-d has been forgotten. Instead the rallying cry is now the white race or western civilization. I wish to remind FReepers that the greatest government that ever existed on earth (because it was the only true Theocracy that has ever been) was three thousand years ago. And they did it all without "western civilization," without Greek philosophy, without beautiful sculpture, without western political theory, without the Magna Carta, and without the First Amendment.

Anyone who thinks this fight is about anything other than G-d and His Laws (for everyone) is absolutely no product of the Bible Belt, whatever his geographical point of origin.

Okay. Now you can accuse me of working for Jewish Communist headquarters in Heaven and on the payroll of Soros. By the way, he's late with his paycheck.

Many people on FR are ready to throw everything away and make this into a race war in which Europeans are credited with inventing heterosexuality and writing Leviticus. I don't think they did either.

No, we had to do battle with Stormfront for years.

I've been watching out for years here. Every time I post a comment that is in conformation with conservative principles I am personally attacked by a swarm of haters, instead of getting general agreement. This is not the same Free Republic I remember from years ago. Yes, you are correct, we HAVE been infiltrated by the opposition.

Oh, come on. You can't even name one whom you can prove is a "paid disinformation agent" from "a leftist outlet," much less establish that "many" are paid. You've just run into people with whom you disagree and it's just easier to make that claim than to compose a valid argument against their points. There are no doubt disinformation agents of all kinds here but so far proving they are paid and who paid them hasn't been done.

The gameplan is to create an incident, then try to discredit those who would contradict the leftist talking points using argument or eyewitness accounts.

More likely the "gameplan" of people you encounter here is to speculate on what happened and discuss it and its implications with others. Not exactly a consiracy, more like a hobby.

This should have read "Signs that Yashcheritsiy thinks someone might be a paid 'disinformant.'"

1) They try to characterise the entire rally, and movement by extension, as "Nazis," "white supremacists," "KKK," etc., despite this applying perhaps to only a small minority of participants.

They don't have to "try" to characterize it since the group that applied for the permit isn't keeping it a secret. It's reasonable to think the group that applied for the permit is in the majority. It's reasonable to assume the speakers represent the group's thinking- if they don't the group would send them packing. Klansman David Duke was there as a speaker. That said, there could certainly be some dullards among them who were just sincere people not wanting to see historic art destroyed or removed, who didn't catch on - until it was too late- just whose rally they attended. Maybe the advertisements were not clear and people fell for it.

Just bear in mind that David Duke's group opposed the war against Saddam Hussein and is sympathetic to the current regime in Iran. His writings were picked up by the Nation of Islam, who, odd as it may seem... he's got more in common with the DNC's Ellison than anything.
