I also liked the Anne George books. She only wrote six or seven, and they kept my spirits up the first winter my husband was traveling on business.

Most recently I have been reading the Joanne Fluke/Hannah Swenson mysteries, but had to stop because I was making a lot of the recipes and gained quite a little bit of weight!

So now I have gone back to the M.C. Beaton books (Hamish and Agatha), sprinkled with a little John Mortimer (Rumpole).

It’s interesting how we all decided at just about the same time to back off the tv news feeding frenzy. There IS more to life than watching simpering, mealy-mouthed “journalists” sit around a table and try to look intelligent.

More for my list! Thanks!

Yes, and I’m thankful that we can relax and enjoy life more since we voted in a good president.

He’s got a big mess on his hands but if anyone can clean it up, he’s the man!
