If the “alt-right” groups forced the location on the City, knowing that the City lacked the resources and motivation to protect them there, they must have sought figurative martyrdom — an especially stupid game since they should have known that the media would present everything to their disadvantage, no matter what. They ended up where they started — as discredited losers. The judge is obviously a dim bulb not to have foreseen how this would turn out.
