I have instructed my wife that if she were surrounded while trying to drive through town and they were throwing things at the car or trying to open the door she should press the pedal to the medal.

I also believe you have a right to defend yourself. Why would you blame the driver of the car if it is true that he was being attacked by a mob which one of us is going to volunteer to take his place in that car and be beaten to a pulp probably suffering brain damage if you’re not lucky enough to be killed

Living in Californicator land, I have had the same discussion with my wife, teenagers kids starting to drive and when they became adults and grandkids. Then, if they know where the police station is, drive there and into the parking lot with the horn going and up stairs or to an entrance if they have to.
