They really went apesh!t when it came out not just any preacher but the son of an NYPD Chaplain. The media was fervently preoccupied with this story. Then the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QINoUyrP0BI, the suspects mugshot was plastered on the front pages of the Daily News and NY Post and it was a...gasp...BLACK GUY! All of a sudden this story...silently....faded......away. Not another word of this incident until months later when he was sentenced, and even that was downplayed.
