It depends on the soil composition and the yield from the blast. Today’s bombs are H-bombs, not A-bombs and considerably more powerful. I’m pretty sure even a small tactical warhead is going to pretty much ruin your day.
To my knowledge our missiles and other tactical nukes and most bombs are not H bombs.
We should have reduced every mountain range in Afghanistan to dust with tactical nuke artillery fire the second the talibunnies and friends ran for hills.
