I have concluded, when it comes to McMaster, Trump has been conned by those who professed to him their backing for McMaster. He heard what he wanted to hear. Trump is either (a) unaware just how much of a globalist McMaster is, which lowers my esteem of Trump, and would be bad enough if not for the possibly that (b) he knows exactly how much of a globalist McMaster is.
The probably with “politics” is it is slower than a Soap Opera.
By the time you figure out who the bad guy is.. and get rid of him...in the next show with long lost twin brother, who had amnesia for the past 6 years, appears to take his place.

There are 2 things holding Trump back right now.
One is ineffective leadership from the Republican Congress. There’s not a whole lot he can do about this one but he needs to keep the pressure on Republicans to actually deliver on years of promises made.
The other is treachery from within the White House and this is something Trump absolutely can control and should have taken care of months ago. Anybody who had anything to do with the Obama administration has to be removed immediately. Nothing could be more obvious. So firing McMaster, who is being protected by every bad actor on stage, is at the very top of the to do list.
