Gateway Pundit ^ | August 11,2017 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 08/11/2017 1:39:03 PM PDT by Hojczyk

The Republican-led Senator lied to the American people. They promised to repeal the failed Obamacare law for seven-and-a-half years. They ran their campaigns on repealing Obamacare. But they all lied.

And then Mitch McConnell had the gall to blame President Trump for expecting too much from the senate!

.Sens. tweeting support of McConnell: ▪️Cornyn ▪️Corker ▪️Tillis ▪️Isakson ▪️Collins ▪️Hatch ▪️Gardner ▪️Heller ▪️Flake ▪️Young ▪️Capito.

Trump must lead us to a new Conservative Party and I earnestly pray that he will run on such a ticket in 2020 after the Congressional swamp has finished impeaching and removing him from office in 2019 after the House and Senate return to the RAT iron-fisted leadership. IMHO TRUMP WILL WIN IN A LANDSLIDE AS RUNNING ON A NEW PARTY TICKET AS WILL THE FREEDOM CAUCUS.

REPUBLICIDE

I'm not going to read the article, or even the thread.

From the title alone I KNEW it was written by that faggot, Jim Hoft.

He's a pot-stirrer, zippy headline writing glorified blog-pimp. Which means he is unreliable -- less-than trustworthy. I offer this as advice to any on this forum who have not picked up on this sort of thing regarding Hoft.

Go ahead a read 'Gateway Pundit' perhaps, but do not trust, not until whatever he says and/or is published on his website has been otherwise verified.

Breitbart is in most instances far better (more trustworthy) but even then look for sources, weigh the information carefully.

On other side of the spectrum --- NPR and the like? Ha. Well-polished cultural 'programming' brainwash with an agenda. CNN? fuggata 'bout it.

So don't even ask (somebody out there in radio-land) "what else do you recommend?" as part of giving me a hard time.

I simply do not have time for anything further, such as actually reading the latest Hoft short-story bodice-ripper political drama/intrigue corridor whisperings that may be assortment of whomever's imaginings -- or could hold real truth, sifting through it in effort to find out/figure out what is what, save for this;

Put all the rest of my here descriptive for Hoft aside, and there is one more word to describe Hoft that I'm convinced is irrefutable.

That is word is unreliable source. Ok, that was two words. Now we can all agree that we here can at least count to two? That's something we could all agree upon? A consensus we could build upon. Oh happy day.

Flake for sure in 2018 and he already has a challenger (or two or three). I have heard that Dr. Kelli Ward has found a new contributor which will assit in tossing Flakie Flake and she lacked that support when taking on Juan McStain back in 2016 when she simply could not financially go up against this entrenched “WAR HERO”. She turned in the best challenger results to-date.

Actually, every two -term + politician needs to be gone. The presumption is a career politician (anyone more than two terms in office) is corrupt (he puts the future of his own career ahead of America’s future). That means guys like Ryan are preemptively corrupt and should be thrown out on their keisters.

The presumption can only be rebutted by the politician himself producing clear and convincing evidence to the voters he is not corrupt. Other wise he should be gone. He is guilty until HE proves himself innocent. If they don’t like that then the shouldn’t run for office. They are our employees.

Without a term-limit constitutional amendment (long-term solution), this will be hard to do without giving the Lying Left a majority which we must not do. Somehow we’ve got to rid ourselves of corrupt GOP congressmen without giving the Lying Left the baton. Not sure how to do that.

I’m tired of seeing the neo-Right using terms like “Do-Nothing Senate”. What a wrong-headed concept for those who love freedom and America. What does the Right want - an activist federal government???? NO!!!!

The only action we need from the feds is to UNDO 100 years of unconstitutional bureaucracy building and unconstitutional acts. Here the issue is Congress needing to cooperate with Trump to completely abolish its unconstitutional meddling in healthcare which needs to be run by the voluntary cooperation between patients and their doctors in the free market.

80% of the federal government is unconstitutional. What we need is MUCH LESS government, not more. We don’t need an activist Senate, we need a federal government that does its constitutional duty in abolishing the unconstitutional 80% of its departments and acts. Forget about the hideous GOP. The AMERICAN PEOPLE need to do whatever it takes to make this happen by THROWING THE BUMS OUT and replacing them with non-politicians who are willing to dismantle this $4 trillion beast.

After that, Congress should be put on a part-time basis. A Do-Little Congress is EXACTLY what we need!!!

They should DO NOTHING except what’s NECESSARY AND PROPER to maintain a constitutional government. That is is ALL they should do. Then they should go home.

Don’t forget our ultimate goal here: the restoration of our Free Constitutional Government. NOT an activist government, but an activist American People who are free and active in their individual pursuits.

In theory term limits seem like a good idea. But never underestimate the depths of evil creativity that flourishes among the political class.

If term limits became law, I suspect their reaction would be to form groups of like-minded politicians who they would fund, and circulate in and out, rotating the candidates who would all comply with their common agenda.

You make assumptions that do not reflect reality. Progressivism is already firmly entrenched into every part of our government. If Congress does nothing but the minimal functions of Constitutional Government, then the Progressive parts remain.

We are at the point where no action = Progressive present becomes Progressive future. Action can only undo bureaucracy, even if the action is defunding. We call the Senate “Do nothing” because it fails to do anything but continue the status quo, which is Progressive.

You are saying that a person gets lung cancer from smoking, so if he gives up smoking, the cancer will go away. No. It will kill him. Only aggressive action will save him.

Exactly right. And Article V may be the only way to correct that. With the left out of power all over the country, the time might be now.

I suggest that Congress conduct it's business via Skype or other such video conferencing product. That way they will live in the home district that elected them and perhaps be more responsive to the needs and demands of "WE THE PEOPLE" that elect them.

They can reserve their meeting face-to-face in the District of Corruption for important matters of urgency like approving war votes, impeaching corruptocrats like Blabbermouth, etc.

Routine Congressional matters and votes do not require they live in DC and schmooze with all the K street types in preparation for their multi-millionaire jobs being planned for post Congressional duty. Let them schmooze up to the locals in their district for their next gig.

Unfortunately the Do Nothing congress has not undone anything to reverse any of the crap stuffed down our throats by obozos congress

There are some things that the congress should do

It is fair to call them do nothing when they haven’t even repealed obozo care or fund building a wall or even reforming the tax code

This is a revolution. In such times, is a do-nothing course of action appropriate?

Or is it perhaps better to remain idealogically pure in one’s state of “do-nothingness” and not clean up what needs cleaning up.

None of those names come as a surprise. Where’s Murkowski? Graham? McCain? Too many hopeless folks run under the R banner, having nothing ideological in common with the party’s grassroots voters.

I like the way you think.

It's my guess there are a great many others who are agreement with what you have just said. But how to best get there is perennially the question.

There are indications President Trump leans strongly "less is more" direction too.

Thank you for your comments. It's good to keep the kind of focus you expended the effort to remind us here of (even if many freepers may need little to no reminder).

“Trish Regan is terrific!”

I thought so until yesterday when she said that everyone should just forget about going after Hillary for her crimes. Trish said it’s old news and we should just “move on”. I believe it was on “Outnumbered”.

“That we’re being governed by John McCain ‘s brain tumor?”

Wow. That’s a scary thing, and stated in a way everyone can understand. A megalomaniac with a brain tumor is setting global policy and making life-and-death decisions for everyone.

That is disappointing. It doesn’t help that Comey, in effect, proclaimed that she was unindictable, and Trump essentially saying leave her alone. I can’t remember a time when a new president’s DOJ went after his predecessor’s administration or political opponents. I suspect it’s partly because payback is hell.
