China’s government drew a line in the sand Friday, saying it would remain neutral if North Korea attacks the U.S. but would defend its Asian neighbor if the U.S. strikes first, Chinese state media reported.
The Chinese response follows a week filled with a number of hot-headed proclamations between North Korea and the U.S.
On Wednesday, North Korea released a statement saying it would follow through with a plan to launch four missiles toward the U.S. territory of Guam by mid-August Meanwhile, other Asia-Pacific countries have come out in support of the United States. Japan’s defense minister, Itsunori Onodera, said this week that his nation’s military was ready to shoot down North Korean missiles if necessary.
Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said Thursday that a war with North Korea would be “catastrophic,” following President Trump’s string of warnings to the rogue nation.

My sense is China has a go team ready to depose Kim if he doesn’t shut up and sit down. Then the new regime can say they’re besties with PRC now and the US and allies need to go home. Kindof a win/win/win.
Should NK and the US precipitate a nuclear war, Bill Clinton should get billing with Benedict Arnold as the biggest traitors in our history. Clinton/Albright made it possible for NK to build their nuclear bombs, and he also sold our weapons technology to the Chinese. Clinton ought to be given full credit for aiding and abetting enemies of the USA.
Now these traitors will get us nuked for empowering the dictatorship in China.

......I don’t think Kim is even relevant any more. This has all gone way too far thanks to Clintons, Bush’s and Obama. The “issue” is not “Kim” but their nuclear capability. If Kim were to drop dead today the nuclear capability is still there in the hands of other “Kims”.
China wants them to have this capability or they would not have it.
I think the US ultimately is going to have to do what McInerney said and that is, briefly stated, send one massive attack of 2,000 missiles to wipe out Korea’s ability to use it’s artillery on Seoul and leadership. In such an attack, Korea militarily is finished in minutes.
Then, allied troops will have to take over North Korea to insure this nuclear capability is destroyed totally. Then you have to confront China. Simply put, unless your’re prepared to roll the dice on losing several American Cities, there are no good options.

Regardless of everything else, China has its own best interests at heart. It’s not in their best interest to see us at war with Korea OR to make enemies of us. That would mean we’d buy less of their cheap crap and actually start building our own stuff again.
