American Girl To Publish 'The True Story of Hillary Clinton'

We are all going to have to just accept that Hilary Clinton is not going away. Especially now that her life story will be forever memorialized in an American Girl book.

The book is called "A Girl Named Hillary: The True Story of Hillary Clinton," and is sure to be a lovely read. The book description explains: "The A Girl Named series tells the stories of how ordinary American girls grew up to be extraordinary American women. It took a lot of determination, courage, and confidence to become the first woman to be nominated for president by a major political party.

A Girl Named Hillary tells of the defining moments that made up her childhood and adolescence with full-color illustrations throughout. In addition to stories and facts about Hillary's upbringing and accomplishments, the book includes a timeline and a glossary, plus a profile of a noteworthy and contemporary American girl following in Hillary's footsteps to break the glass ceiling and show girls everywhere that they can accomplish anything they set their minds to!"

Empowering young girls is important for sure, but this seems more like another never-ending ode to the almost-but-not-quite President Hillary Clinton montage. I almost wonder if they wrote the book before the election, depicting as her being the first female President, only to have to change it?

I also have a few questions about this book. Will we see Hillary Clinton's deeply middle-class background? Or find out when her hot sauce obsession began? Will we see her eventual political career and constant walking back of her beliefs?

I suppose I'll have to read the book to gain a real understanding of "The True Story of Hillary Clinton," which won't be available for purchase through Amazon until January of 2018. But don't worry -- the left will still be singing her praises then, too.

This story about young Hillary is REALLY going to be quite an exciting book!

I never knew she ran for president of the Student Council and lost both times, once to a black kid and then to a rich white kid. She did serve one term as the Secretary of the Student Council though, there was a bit of controversy, instead of using the schools equipment, for some reason she made copies of all the records and meeting minutes on an old mimeograph machine her parents kept in a basement bathroom and then instead of turning them in at the end of her term like she was suppose to, she threw them away. But a student at a rival school who wrote a newsletter titled "Schooleaks" dug them out and published them. Many were shocked to find out Hillary was using her position as Secretary to convince alumni to donate to her personal college fund. There are sad stories as well, such as the time in the 5th grade when Hillary caught her first boyfriend holding hands with another girl and then found out he had pretty much held hands with every girl in the class. Strangely instead of blaming him, she labeled all the other girls "hand holding cheats" and spent the next year destroying their reputations. There is even one scary episode when young Hillary collapsed boarding the school bus, but luckily her friends jumped around her so the school photographer couldn't get a good picture.

“The True Story of Hillary Clinton” - if it’s the true story - is full of ugly facts that children should not have to hear about until they are nearly adults.

Young Hitlery claims she was a Goldwater Republican.

I doubt her pre-Alinsky politics will be revealed in the book.

American Girl is owned by Mattel. Mattel’s CEO supported Romney and at least one Bush. Nuff said?

I’m sure it will include her being named after Sir Edmund Hilary, and attempting to sign up for the Marines at a recruiting office... and being a doting, caring mother during Chelsea’s formative years...

Off topic but I heard that the name Hillary for naming baby girls has cratered in popularity since the Clintons came on the national scene in 1992.

Nobody wants to name their baby girl Hillary anymore. Imagine that,......

"The A Girl Named series tells the stories of how ordinary American girls grew up to be extraordinary American women. "

In Hillary's case, its the same way that the hobbit Sméagol grew into Gollum.

Will they tell how Hillary rode the coattails of a far more gifted politician who happened to be a man, and that without Bill she’d never have run for anything higher than city council? (She would have lost.) Grrrrl power, indeed.

I wonder if they’ll include the one where she made all that money from Cattle Futures?

She DIDN’T “accomplish anything [she] set her mind to.” Are these dopes even aware she lost the election, or do they live in some kind of alternative universe bubble?
