President Donald Trump has endorsed Sen. Luther Strange in Alabama's Senate race.
In a Tuesday night tweet, the President said "Senator Luther Strange has done a great job representing the people of the Great State of Alabama. He has my complete and total endorsement!"

Strange was Attorney General of Alabama when Governor Bentley was on his way to potential impeachment. There appeared to be a quid pro quo in that Strange did nothing overt to harm Bentley and Bentley appointed him to Sessions unexpired seat.
Mitch McConnell’s pac is pumping millions of dollars into the campaign to get Strange elected. He will be a surrogate of McConnell.

WTH? I guess he still thinks he can work with the GOPe despite evidence to the contrary. They have screwed him at every turn, slow walk his nominees and then strip his ability to make recess appointments. This will buy him nothing.

Yeah, but I wonder if Trump really wants Strange? There’s no way, but I guess maybe he does. He is asking a lot and I’d be a confused voter if I we’re living in Alabama right now.
