President Trump has sent messages through his lawyer expressing "appreciation and greetings" to special counsel Robert Mueller, Trump's chief counsel John Dowd told USA Today Tuesday.
"He appreciates what Bob Mueller is doing," Dowd said. "He asked me to share that with him and that's what I've done.
“The president has sent messages back and forth," he said.

Well it’s pretty hard to get past Rosenstein picking Comey’s bff to be SC (toatally inappropriate and maybe illegal).
Maybe not. If Comey IS going after Clintons and their foundation, it’s not as easy to write off as a right wing gone wild.
I could be completely wrong, and probably am, but there remains this nagging doubt about the current interpretation of the Special Council.
