It’s the franchise owner, not the chain. That said, if the accusation is true and that employee hasn’t been fired, DD can and should get medieval on the heinie, legally speaking, of that franchise owner.
I agree. I wouldn’t boycott Dunkin Donuts because one immature or Leftist employee did something stupid, especially since I’ve never heard of Dunkin Donuts being political before (unlike Starbucks). Fire the employee and move on to something else.
The article also mentions a weak response seemingly a denial. Don’t know if that was franchisee or corporate, but the apology should have been strong and unequivocal.
It’s not the franchise owner or the chain, it’s the employee and yes that employee should he out of work. If the employee was terminated then the boycott is childish and punitive. It is nigh impossible to control what an employee does unless the owner/management is right at their shoulder every second. What business in their right mind would have a policy of alienating the very people they depend on for protection?
