Another excerpt from the report:
“One government scientist who worked on the report, Katharine Hayhoe, a professor of political science at Texas Tech University, called the conclusions among the most comprehensive climate science reports to be published. Another scientist involved in the process, who spoke to The New York Times on the condition of anonymity, said he and others were concerned that it would be suppressed.”
Clearly a political science “scientist” would be an expert on the weather... (/sarc)
I think you are correct. This report was only written to antagonize Trump.
And I'll bet the majority of "scientists" who participated in this report have the same non-qualifications i.e., social "science," etc.

So the article is calling a PolySci prof. at a State Univ. a “Gov’t. Scientist”???
She works for a Univ., not for the Gov’t.
If the other so-called “scientists” who support this bogus report are likewise bogus, then they should send the report to Venezuela where they need toilet paper.
"Hayhoe received a degree in physics and astronomy from the University of Toronto,[4] and her masters' and PhD in atmospheric science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign."
Anyone who has spent time on Anthony Watts’ wattsupwiththat.com, the most widely followed climate science website around, will know that Katherine Hayhoe is a leftist, climate-alarmist loon.

No agenda there.
