written by gloBULL warming insiders...how convenient.
same old deceptive photo of smoking chimneys used to illustrate the piece.

another piece today, being picked up by plenty of FakeNews websites:

8 Aug: Guardian: US federal department is censoring use of term ‘climate change’, emails reveal
Exclusive: series of emails show staff at Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service advised to reference ‘weather extremes’ instead
by Oliver Milman in New York
“These records reveal Trump’s active censorship of science in the name of his political agenda,” said Meg Townsend, open government attorney at the Center for Biological Diversity...

The Center for Biological Diversity is currently suing several government agencies, including the EPA and state department, to force them to release information on the “censoring” of climate change verbiage...
https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2017/aug/07/usda-climate-change-language-censorship-emails

HuffPo’s headline has the denial, but then carries on as if it were probably true!

8 Aug: HuffPo: USDA Says They Never Told Staff To Use ‘Weather Extremes’ Instead Of ‘Climate Change’
But email correspondence just after the inauguration indicates otherwise.
by Jenna Amatulli
“The Natural Resources Conservation Service has not received direction from USDA or the Administration to modify its communications on climate change or any other topic,” Kaveh Sadeghzadeh, NRCS’s communications director, said in an email to HuffPost...

Sadeghzadeh told HuffPost that “these emails, sent in the first days of the new Administration, did not reflect the direction of senior agency leadership.”...
The NRCS’ site section on climate change has remained unchanged...

A change in verbiage would follow suit with other moves made by government agencies during Trump’s administration regarding climate change...

of course, all government agencies should stop using the fake term “climate change” when they are supposedly talking about anthropological global warming.

there is no group more dishonest than the manmade global warming crowd.

“One government scientist who worked on the report, Katharine Hayhoe, a professor of political science at Texas Tech
***************************************
So the article is calling a PolySci prof. at a State Univ. a “Gov’t. Scientist”???

She works for a Univ., not for the Gov’t.

If the other so-called “scientists” who support this bogus report are likewise bogus, then they should send the report to Venezuela where they need toilet paper.

I do agree that it is making parts of govt. stupider in a drastic sort of way.

It is certainly cool here. I’m freezing in August. Those so-called scientists are obviously straining at knats and swallowing camels.

Let’s see. Seventeen “intelligence agencies” turned out to actually be only four. So 13 “government” agencies would be between two and three.

Fwiw, she is a real scientist, and The NY Times sucks at journalism...

"Hayhoe received a degree in physics and astronomy from the University of Toronto,[4] and her masters' and PhD in atmospheric science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign."

First off this is a government report...government scientists are known for "cooking the climate books" to maintain their government grants.

Thanks to parts of the clean air enforcement, cities that have grown are paved over with asphalt or macadam hence, poor drainage and a heat reservoir. Leave any large city and go 60+ miles to a small town and the difference in degrees of heat or cold is measurable.

What if there were fake news outlets that only published fiction?

They could have names like the New York Times or maybe the Washington Post or possibly CNN.

Oh wait...

I live in South East Louisiana. Last winter my pipes froze twice. I went to pick up my wife from work last Friday and I had to roll up my windows on my truck because of the chill in the air. This has been the mildest summer that I can ever remember in my 57 years of life. I think we might have a real cold winter this year.

That is why they shifted from “global warming” to “climate change”; the warming aspect didn’t hold up (but climate change is natural).

“Then why was it hotter, on the average, where I live, back before the 1980s than it is now?”

That’s how I remember it too but I suppose my memory has gone bad along with everything else.

I ask:
What is the “temperature of the earth” at this moment?
How is that determined?
What was it yesterday; and was it determined in the same way?
What about last year?

Leave any large parking lot and go one mile away and the difference is measurable. I grew up on the farm and we used to haul watermelons and cantaloupes to a wholesale farmer’s market where there was bare soil and shade trees, it was hot on a hundred degree day but bearable. Then the state, in its infinite wisdom, moved the market to a new location. An open field was paved with asphalt and shelters erected with steel roofs to protect people from sun and rain. It was hideous, it totally ruined things. A trip to the market which had been a fairly pleasant break from life on the farm was turned into something to be dreaded like the plague. It felt as if the temperature had been raised twenty degrees. No doubt that market would be where the heat sensor would be placed to try to verify all this “climate change”.
