But they already have voting rights.................back in their legal countries. If they want to vote here in America there is a very simple time honored method, immigrate legally fulfill all the requirements, time of residence, education, testing and apply for citizenship in America. Then after citizenship has been earned they can vote, and not before.

Does that statute define “alien”?
Is somebody here illegally an alien?

Says nothing about "illegal" just alien and there is a big difference.
We have aliens here on visas that can vote but ILLEGAL invaders aliens should be strung up by their gonads and then drug to the border by them. NO VOTING RIGHTS.

So does this mean that if the state’s votes, including illegal voters’ ballots marked for federal offices, can be rejected by the feds?

The term alien means any person not a citizen or national of the United States.
So that makes illegals aliens which means a state or a city can allow them to vote on non-national elections if they want to.

I imagine there would be different ballots for non-citizens.
