I agree with everything you said with one exception. We should stay in the UN for no other reason than veto power.

The earliest the U.S. can begin officially withdrawing from the accord is Nov. 4, 2019, under the terms of the Paris agreement. An agreement the Senate never ratified. Therefore, the United States was never part of this "accord". As far as the United States is concerned, the accord, especially the part containing Obama's signature, is toilet paper.
President Trump can terminate our nation's participation in this "accord" at any time, in any fashion, and for any reason. As far as I am concerned, the time has long past to walk away from this idiocy.
