They get a rep for a reason. Like Moslems and urbans. And it’s even more genetic than those.

But a Catahoula is not a PBT, so it’s a non-sequitur.

A Catahoula has a brindle coat like many pits, but smaller and mire slender body.

This officer should make personal restitution.

I just had a friend get badly bitten by a pitter who everyone thought was a real sweetie. "Why, she'd just lick you to death"--just a few weeks of rehab.

I hate them. Save me your tabula rasa "nurture vs nature" NONSENSE. They are a fighting breed. If a pit hurts somebody, let the owner do JAIL TIME.

A lot of this trigger/happy situation with dogs is caused by the neurotic attachment to this ugly and dangerous breed. People who are overwhelmed by their own dogs drop them off on my country road.

Per capita (and I’m applying that term to dogs for illustrative purposes), Pits pale in comparison to Chows as far as bites. Even Labs have a higher incidence of biting (though that includes Lab mixes, and it’s anyone’s guess what genetics those dogs possess).
