the comments on the Yahoo site give me some hope, that this world is NOT going to hell in a handbasket; that in spite of the media coverage of this sort of thing, that ordinary people DO NOT sign on to all this “transgender” stuff.
I scanned through the comments, and didn’t find a single one in favor of the parents action in filing the lawsuit. Many were pretty harsh towards the parents for allowing their boy to live the fantasy that he’s a girl.
Oh my, this is all so STUPID! Back in my day there were “Tom Boys” And I was one (still am), the only doll I ever played with was GI Joe, had my own football team, had a slew of toy guns, holsters, cowboy boots, combat boots...
No Barbie, no pink stuff, hated dresses, I even used my Dad’s hair tonic. It was a phase. My parents didn’t panic, didn’t take me to a shrink, didn’t sue anybody to force me into boys bathrooms (which I didn’t want to use).
Kids fantasize, play make believe, and then they usually grow up. Wish I could post a pic of me in my wedding gown, I was a knock out :) They had to steady my Mom when I picked it out, and then they teased me that I would have pants on underneath.
Wish both sides would calm down and just let the kids grow up, they usually figure things out. But as we know the media will fan the flames of extremism, the schools will continue to allow outrageous expression, and the sheeple will draw their ignorant - knee jerk conclusions.
Oh, and me? I turned out to be a normal healthy female who is still a “Tom Boy” at 60 :)
