People don’t understand that every intelligence leak reveals sources and methods.
Sure, you can laugh, and say everyone already knows that we listen to the bad guys.
Yes, but they don’t know exactly how. Every intelligence leak gives them a little more info about how we’re doing it.
As soon as the bad guys piece it together, they will change their communications so we can’t listen to them anymore.
At that point, our sources and methods are worthless, and we have to spend a bunch more money finding new ones.
Every intelligence leak is treason. IMHO
