The Senate confirmed over five dozen of President Trumps executive branch nominations on Thursday before breaking for August recess, more than doubling the number of the presidents picks in place to implement his agenda.

Before this weeks flurry of activity, the Senate had approved only 50 of President Trumps nominees, less than one-third of the average number from the past four presidential administrations at this point on the calendar after Inauguration Day.

But certain key administration posts remain unfilled. One of the most prominent examples of this is President Trumps nomination of Noel Francisco to be solicitor general of the United States. That is the nations top lawyer before the U.S. Supreme Court, who also typically plays a major role in determining the administrations legal position on controversial issues, and additionally is frequently consulted regarding judicial nominations. Sounds like too many positions are subject to senate confirmation.
Many poitions are filled by 0bamaites.
Trump has not been highly focused on draining the Swamp. He has hired quite a few crocs.
Part of the problem is Trump’s people. For example, US Attorneys were fired in early March. The Administration did not even send any nominees to replace them to the Senate until the middle of/late June.
The Dems are now using old procedural rules to stop and slow down all nominees
