Although the liberal media is purposely avoiding the fact that the Trump-Russia collusion investigation is, as CNN's Van Jones noted in a candid moment, a big "nothing burger" most of the public has already reached that conclusion. Thus far Bob Mueller and his team of Democrat-donating investigators have only come up with a quickie inconclusive 20 minute meeting between Donald Trump, Jr. and a Russian lawyer. Hardly time for "collusion." This might explain why they are now on a fishing expedition for matters completely unrelated to Russia.
Meanwhile the public appears to be fed up with the Russia investigation to nowhere and the Mueller fishing expedition. As a result Politico is now worried that this will boomerang upon the Democrats in upcoming elections. Politico's David Siders worries about this today in Democrats fear Russia probe blowback:

The above is why the Democrats CAN'T drop the either the Russia investigation to nowhere or the Great Mueller Fishing Expedition.

The Don Jr.meeting actually proves there was no conspiracy. He made it clear in his emails that the meeting with Russians was novel so obviously there weren’t any prior meetings. And it failed. He made no effort to conceal it in his emails. If they want to know if there was any follow up all they need to do is look at his emails. Unlike Hillary he did not us a private server in his closet.
Their worry just proves the whole thing is political.
That's why it was placed in the hands of Democrats, to see that that doesn't happen.

The only thing they have to worry about is saving their butts because We the American People are going to hand their heads on a platter come 2018!!!
The criteria for judging the Mueller fishing expedition will be whether or not Trump finishes his first term. Without an impeachment or resignation, Mueller will have failed.
Just a comparison here...I cannot help but think that all this uproar recently so closely parallels the movie High Noon. To me the comparison is eerie. The one good thing in that is that after all the drama it turned out just right. I seem to think this will also. Gary Cooper didn’t let down the viewers and I just know President Trump won’t either.
