The $12.9 billion USS Gerald R. Ford, which can carry about 5,000, is the first new US aircraft carrier designed in 40 years. Of course, a lot has changed in 40 years.
For one thing, its not uncommon to find women serving aboard such carriers these days. Women account for nearly 20% of the sailors in the US Navy. So, the ships designers adapted to the new reality. According to the Navy Times, the Ford has no urinalsonly seated toilets with stalls.

Excellent
LOL
When I was on the USS Higbee my favorite urinal was just off the area where I had Top side watch it was the best piss of the day
My submarine, built in 1960, did not have urinals either. We were still able to pee.
There’s lotsa jokes about this.
But, also don’t see what the big deal is. How many of you men have a urinal in your house, vs. just having a toilet?
I may be in the minority, or just don’t understand where people are coming from.
Now, we could debate whether we should have girls on these ships in the first place. I heard that girls on navy ships get pregnant sometimes.
The next battle will be over leaving the seats up.
Ever seen a trough urinal? They provide a very efficient means for large numbers of men to relieve themselves rapidly.

You beat me to it!
Urinals use a lot less water for flushing, don’t they?
Yeah, they have them at Bills Stadium.
Better check to see which way the wind is blowing!
It won't last forever. A feminized military and a feminized nation will fall, and a fiercely masculinized force will take over the destroyed nation, and a fiercely masculinized nation will rise from the ashes.
This is not an aspiration. It is an observation.
They have them just about anywhere really large numbers of men will need to take a leak at about the same time. So long as the drains work, they’re great.
I went to a B’more Ravens game their first year, at the old Memorial Stadium. Went to get rid of some used beer at halftime ... glad I was wearing boots.
I’ve rented a few beers that ended up going into those.
