the last 12 months the city of Dearborn, Michigan, has been thrown into conflict. At its heart, the conflict is about fear, ideology and identity politics – and what it means to be an American. Dearborn, home to the largest mosque in North America, is a place of apparent contradictions: simultaneously a sleepy, affluent suburb and yet also the subject of rumours about Isis terror cells and sharia law.
Hmm... I remember someone from Michigan telling me about some of the problems with the sizable Muslim community and Sharia law—back in the early 80s. The problem has grown...

Let’s discuss the Pew polls from 2013, where vast numbers of Muslims all over the world believe in Sharia and believe it is morally acceptable to kill those who chose to leave the religion. Or it is acceptable to kill those who insult Islam. No thanks, we don’t want your religion, please leave America before your sick demented ideology destroys the greatest nation on Earth.
Islam is antithetical to the freedoms engendered by the Judeo-Christian, Greco-Romano-Britannic civilization in which we live. I would rather have what we have that anything I have seen in Islamic history. There is nothing you can bring to our nation from you anti-human ideology which can enhance it.
Your religion despises music, and has taken pride in destroying musical instruments. They have outlawed the arts, and the painting of the human form. They have murdered artists. They have murdered novelists and writers. There is nothing we want, nothing.
You destroy the things that enhance the human spirit, that allows others to worship their god of their choosing, that enables free people to exalt in their humanity - your sick religion takes pride in destroying that.
So fix your religion, fix the nations of the Earth that your religion has destroyed, fix your murderous selves to stop killing innocents, stop your terrorism, stop your bigotry, your slavery, you mutilation of women, your oppression of other faiths.
Thousands of terrorist acts are done in the name of your faith, each year, yet your convenient answer is that “it is not Islam”. Well, I say it is Islam, and we do not want it.
