In a test of labors ability to expand its reach in the South, workers at a Nissan plant in Mississippi have overwhelmingly rejected a bid to unionize.
Out of roughly 3,500 employees at the Canton-based plant who voted Thursday and Friday, more than 60 percent opposed the union. It was an emphatic coda to a yearslong organizing effort underwritten by the United Automobile Workers, which has been repeatedly frustrated in its efforts to organize major auto plants in the region.

Don’t kid yourselves, AFGE, AFSCME and the SEIU do just fine in Mississippi and the rest of the South.
Ah, finally, some good news.
Two of those are government worker unions and the other is just a Marxist stormtrooper front group!
They’re unions and they have many members in the South.
Just about all schoolteachers are unionized. Some may not be in a recognized organization, but they all stick together if their bennies are threatened.
Unions and the Union has been unpopular in the South since 1861.
Bet rest assured, they’re already scheduling a new vote to happen sooner rather than later — they’ll make a few adjustments.
I arrived at my first job just after a unionization effort had failed. Anti-union employees were beat up and their cars so badly sabotaged that some of them had to quit. The union overplayed their hand and lost the vote.
An honest day's pay for an honest day's work.
AFSCME = Government = different kettle of fish
SEIU = illiterate wetbacks controlled by filthy Maoists = different kettle of fish
Down in North Charleston some union thugs tried to intimidate workers from Boeing, using the same tactics they used elsewhere. After staring down 2 gun barrels one went to the police to complain he had had a gun pulled on him. The police officer politely informed him he was lucky he hadn’t been shot, and no there was nothing they were going to do to the homeowners because he was in the wrong. He was also schooled on SC’s version of the Castle Doctrine, and informed if he went back to another house to try and intimidate someone he’s shooting death would be considered justifiable homicide.
Another bureaucratic/socialist hand in your pocket? HOORAY workers.
There's an investigation today here in Boston about union thugs who tried to muscle their way into a film crew shooting a movie here. The Feds are involved and it's said that the current Mayor of Boston (a Rat,of course) is a target.
Now THERE’s a sweetener for the morning coffee !
Really? Care to post some facts regarding that assertion you make? The last time I checked the BLS their stats showed that only 10% of the manufacturing workforce in the US was in a union. I am sure it is a lot less in the south.

Unions are encapsulated socialism. It’s a recipe for meritocracy. It’s ‘arbeit macht frei”.
I’ve worked a couple of places with unions and it’s management was so freakin’ afraid of the union, it was pathetic.
I quit the unions in both places. I didn’t see any benefit, and didn’t want to pay the dues.
The only ones who make out like thieves are the union bosses.
