Mrs. Mad was busy so I made the weekly trek to the grocery store. A very sweet, young and cute girl was the bagger at the store. She offered to push my cart out to the gas guzzling SUV. I responded “No, thanks anyway. The day I can't hump my own groceries to the truck is the day they will bury me.” She was puzzled by my comment. I picked the bags out of the cart and wished her a pleasant day and made my way out of the store.

Nobody but the older generation has that can-do attitude any more. It’s a shame.
