what happens if they all just plead the 5th??? is that allowable?? “due to the circumstances and the one sided nature of this investigation, i’ve been advised to invoke my 5th amendment rights”...is that allowed?
Worked for HRC as well as “I don’t remember” & “I can’t recall”
Any individual subpoenaed to testify before a grand jury can take the 5th (at least as to oral testimony; producing documents is a more complicated question). As a lawyer, I always advise my clients to do so, regardless of whether they have done anything wrong or not. The only way someone can be required to testify is if they're granted immunity.
is that allowable?? ....absolutely. A favorite Socialist dodge.
It is always allowed to take the 5th.
It is also within the rights of the President to shut this nonsense down and he should do so sooner rather than later.
I saw this on Hannity’s TV show last night and Gregg Jarrett, a Fox reporter and attorney, sums up the grand jury process very well - and very accurately. The US is one of but two countries that use a grand jury process and Jarrett explains why:
I’ve helped US Attorneys and AUSAs prepare for grand juries - for real criminal cases - in the past and Jarrett is right on the money.
