Special Counsel Robert Mueller is leading one of the biggest witch hunts in American political history.
According to a new report by VOX, the witch hunt just got worse, as Mueller has notified former FBI Head James Comey and former Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe that they should be prepared to testify against President Trump.
VOX reports:
Shortly after the appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller in May, Acting Director of the FBI Andrew McCabe told several of the highest-ranking managers of the bureau they should consider themselves possible witnesses in any investigation into whether President Donald Trump engaged in obstruction of justice, according to two senior federal law enforcement officials.
McCabe has told colleagues that he too is a potential witness in the probe of whether Trump broke the law by trying to thwart the FBI’s Russia investigation and the investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government to defeat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election.
Two senior federal law enforcement officials have told me that the new revelations illustrate why they believe the potential case against Trump is stronger than outsiders have thought.
“What you are going to have is the potential for a powerful obstruction case,” a senior law enforcement official said. “You are going to have the [former] FBI director testify, and then the acting director, the chief of staff to the FBI director, the FBI’s general counsel, and then others, one right after another. This has never been the word of Trump against what [James Comey] has had to say. This is more like the Federal Bureau of Investigation versus Donald Trump.”

I think they are angling for a deal: “Look, nobody wants this mess to continue. Bobby will close the investigation of Trump if Jeff drops the investigation of the Clintons. Everybody walks away happy. Got it?”
And it finally comes to this: FreeRepublic now thinks Vox is a realiable source for anything cuz it fits the current template.
The whole “Muller is out of control/Trump is doomed” has taken on a life of its own, totally aside from reality.

This is I think may be Trumps Achilles heal. Bribery is the cost of doing business in many countries overseas. Trump did a lot of business overseas and I would be shocked if there are no bribes to be found. This is why Roesentein gave Mueller total freedom to look at everything Trump touched despite the brazen impropriety of such latitude given the pretense to bring Mueller in. Trump could have dumped Rosenstein and had his replacement get Muelller under control months ago. It may prove to Trumps biggest mistake. It’s so frustrating.

If you look at “our side” on Twitter, you have people like Cernovich who from the get go hated McMaster and have been spewing out one little tale after another to “get” him, just as the anti-Bannon people spin their little webs.
It’s sickening. They all should shut up. Makes me wonder if any of them really like Trump and want him to succeed.

I used to read Cernovich and Posobiec; I was sort of late getting the hang of reading twitter. IMHO people with huge egos invested in being the first, the one with inner circle secret info and the like are going way off the track. Whether knowingly, or they’re deluding themselves, I neither know nor care. I know Cern has a huge swelled head.
Another thing, IMHO, is that Pres. Trump is the Ultimate Big Dog. I do think, seriously, that envy is at play with some of these people. Why else have their judgment and cognitive thinking skills gone by the wayside? Believing sources from foul “news” outlets like Vox and Axios??? A few minutes research on any unknown or new site tells me all I need to know, can’t other people do the same?
This shows me some people just want to think ill of Trump. Because if McMasters and so many others are supposedly Bilderbergers, globalists, Islamists and the like, that means Trump is a bumbling fool who is easily tricked and makes horrible mistakes in judgment.
In short, I think agendas, egos and kookdom are heavily in play. And fueled by fake “news” by naturally the MSM, Dems and Rs who hate Trump. And kooks and egomaniacs are swallowing it.
One more thought - some people are just professional cyncics - their motto is “nothing is ever as it seems” - cue spooky music - this merges into the inner circle secret club stuff. I have seen this a lot over the years. Only they and their special sources know the “real stuff”.
You are targeting the wrong camp.
The Vox crap is to firm up the democrat base with anything anti-Trump. The overwhelming evidence is that Mueller is a Deep State actor. Yes, there is hard evidence of that fact.
Obviously, a Vox piece is going to rile Freepers and they have good reason to be.
But that’s not the point. The point is WHERE IS AWAN? Where is that story? It may seem irrelevant but it’s not. Because the AWAN spy ring is enormous, aided and abetted by Comey, McCabe, and so many others in the so-called Deep State. That story is REALITY and is connected to what Vox is stoking the democrat base about.
The correct analysis of this thread response is not to berate Freepers as at fault for playing up this thread’s message because the facts of Vox’s assertions are not known. The correct response is to point out that Vox is but one of hundreds who are ignoring AWAN and continuing to push the tired Russia-Trump Collusion/Obstruction narrative. The Vox story is the pathfinder for the rest of the democrat media to monitor and consider copying. They are desperately trying to find ‘throws’ to take AWAN out of the public’s eye.
So the real question is where could the President be on AWAN? Where is Sessions? It’s not like the AWAN group has just surfaced. It’s been known of for quite some time. And where are hearings of Congress to interview prosecutors for Lynch, Comey, Clinton, McCabe, Mueller?
No, I am not going to chastise Freepers for doing the expected. I will simply draw attention to how Vox is attempting to act as a scout for the fake news media to see which direction they will go next in light of AWAN.
