Well it’s been “a few years” but I know of several other caucasians who were told by our consellors to consider alternatives in our pre-med track, because the odds of use getting accepted into medical school were somewhere between slim and none. And I completed three majors and graduated Magna. Still not good enough “for some reason”...
No regrets on my part, but some others were devastated by the realization that reverse discrimination based on skin color was going to keep them from realizing their ambition.

I cannot speak to racial bias, but I can speak a volume about gender bias for admissions into a particular law school. I personally knew the dean of the school through professional contacts and albeit a veteran, with a good GPA in college coupled with a 600 plus LSAT was told I was rejected as they had to “balance their gender”, IOW, I being male was not getting in. He added, wait till next year, apply again and with your credentials you will be admitted as this year is an anomaly. Already 26, I decided to pass on that career path which actually worked out well for me. Still, it angers me 45 years later.
