Subtitle: Under the new chief of staff, H.R. McMaster and Steve Bannon have gone to the mattresses.
General John Kelly may be trying to institute military-style discipline in the West Wing, but that hasnt put a stop to the civil war happening over President Donald Trumps National Security Council. If anything, the dawning of the Kelly era may have accelerated that war.
The national security adviser, H.R. McMaster, has removed three NSC aides loyal to Trump aide Steve Bannon in the last three weeks. Bannon allies inside and outside the administration have fired back, starting rumors that McMaster is on his way out the door and documenting the Army generals deviations from President Trump.

Meanwhile, Bannons allies outside the White House are trying to put the squeeze on McMaster. On Wednesday, radio host Laura Ingraham tweeted a months-old article from the New York Times about McMasters break with the administration on Islam.

For some time, Steve Bannon has been considering leaving the White House. One of Bannons closest buddies in the West Wing was Reince Priebus, now gone. A newly emboldened H.R. McMaster, purging Bannonites with the backing of John Kelly (and the president), could hasten his exit.
The president seems partial to McMaster. "Sometimes he drives me nuts," Trump said this week, according to a White House official. "But there's something about the guy I really like."

Which one loves his country and is loyal to POTUS? McMaster’s actions suggest it ain’t him.
Time for McLoser to be fired
“... gone to the mattresses...”
Whiskered Tangles Foxglove
bannon still looks good to me.
I wonder what evidence there is that McMaster is a globalist. Since Trump doesn't seem to think that McMaster has a globalist agenda, either Trump is a fool, a globalist, or McMaster doesn't have a globalist agenda.
Okay, weigh in here.
Always remember your source. The Weekly Standard isn’t trying to report on palace intrigue, it is trying to manufacture as much if it as possible.
True. Weekly Standard equals Bill Kristol, king of the #NeverTrump brigade. Pure fishwrap.
Neither of these RINOs deserve to win.
Well I’m rooting for Bannon. Something doesn’t smell right about the McMasters guy. I think he a total leftist.
Then when McMasters has been kicked to the curb; reach out to the good folks he got rid of on the right to see if they will come back and purge any remaining leftists. Nothing good happens when there’s a leftist in the room with a voice in making decisions. Nothing good at all. McMasters is proof of this.
“I wonder what evidence there is that McMaster is a globalist. “
There isn’t any. But that doesn’t stop freepers who never heard his name before he was appointed NSA from parroting whatever rumors tickle their ears.
I agree, too many Washington elitists write for that rag...The Weekly Standard is tainted.
Looks like the Council on Foreign Relations, ‘the shadow government’, is slowly edging out the Trump Agenda at the National Security Council....
President Trump needs to buy some life insurance in the form of releasing all government documents related to DEEP STATE involvement in the JFK assassination.....(Just in case something like the attempt on Reagan’s life happens, We the people will know where to look for suspects)
I don’t profess to be an expert on this guy but at some point when you read the same thing coming from so many different sources one starts to develop an unfavorable opinion. Did you see the thread below?

Maybe so, but Bill Kristols Weekly Standard is probably the last place Id go to get accurate information about Trump or the Deep State.
Maybe these people are being fired in a move that actually shelves these loyalists before the a mass purge at the NSC takes place in the hopefully very near future.
It could extend some rope too.
Just a speculative thought.
Say it ain't so...
They describe Bannon and Priebus as close friends. But 3 months ago those same people described the relationship between the Bannon faction and the Priebus faction as internal war inside the Trump inner circle.
They think they can have it both ways.
Based on my personal first hand experience in Nov 1963 such a release would show that the DEEP STATE was totally incompetent during that period. They were not in control of what was about to happen. And they did not believe it would happen. And they had no Plan B to do anything if it did happen.
