“Breeding doesn’t pay any attention to actual genetics. Clearly many purebreds desperately need some new genes. Time for these dog “show kingdoms” to join science and shape up. Each breed should start mixing breeds in a nice, controlled way, to get their genetic lines stronger. Why be proud to have weak, unhealthy genetics and shorter life?”

I don’t understand this statement, are you saying that anyone who breeds dogs doesn’t pay attention to genetics?

No, I said that wrong. Really it is the dog breed gods, whatever they are called, who run the show programs, who have decided to focus on looks over health. It does seem that they pay attention to superficial genetics over strength and health of body. I don’t blame the breeders.
