I read that, as well as the original U of Iowa article. Lots of good comments at the Iowa site, but my favorite was a response to a nasty response: [To OP] “Forget about [nasty responder]. He lacks cognitive privilege.”

"Cognitive privilege" reminds me of this passage from Ronald W. Clark's biography of Einstein, from Chapter 2 on his adolescent days:

The description of "impudent Swabian," given by his fellow pupil Hans Byland, belongs to this period. "Sure of himself, his gray felt hat pushed back on his thick, black hair, he strode energetically up and down in in a rapid, I might almost say crazy, tempo of a restless spirit which carries a whole world in itself," Byland has said. "Nothing escaped the sharp gaze of his bright brown eyes. Whoever approached him immediately came under the spell of his superior personality.
