Want to bet if they try , Mexico will steal California right out from under them ,LOL In place like San Diego, L.A., and the Bay Area; they already have. They are gone. No longer part of America in people or attitude. Our shooting war will be with them.

Great opportunity for the inland counties to break away.

How many Freepers would have to vote in CA to get it to 50.0000001%?
To: central_va
CA would be part of NATO and the USA could lease the bases or pull out. The USAs choice.I rather liked living there for 30 years, but there are too many libtards there. If we could ship out most of the libtards, California would be the great place it once was. The Air Force guys I talked to at Travis, are not talking too much about it. I think I know why, but I am not positive. I don't think many of them really want Cal Exit. I don't know if they would consider you to be their sworn enemy, but maybe most of them don't care one way or the other.

Most Americans living in Calif. would just abandon the state and disperse else where in the country.

I’d vote for Hawaii, with CA being #2. Hawaii seems to hate mainlanders except for their tourist dollars.

That’s why the 2028 Olympics will be a fiasco, as it will be held in essentially a 3rd world country environment, unless there are major changes in CA which is on the verge of bankruptcy.

So if California EXITS, what happens to their 50+ Electoral Votes? Are they gone too?

So would you be in favor of the USA invading CA if they did secede?

You are going to be very disappointed. California stays...but, folks who don’t want to be part of the USA may leave...same goes for you.

They may not secede...they may individually leave. The USA preventing the stealing of our land would not be an invasion.

Ah, and we were playing so nicely...
Now you know that I did not say that— don’t put words in my mouth.
I merely posed the question and then noted that there are people who believe California cannot secede..like Scalia, and I heard Tucker Carlson mention it last night on his show...
This will probs goes to Supremes.

Well, I (reluctantly) think that this would be in our best interest, as long as the newly independent State of California does not retain lands surrendered to the People of the United States by Mexico under the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and never transferred by the People of the United States to the People of California.
I refer particularly to "Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards and other needful Buildings".
