We have a 10yr. old dog that was Vaccinated for a Rabies Vaccine, Bordatella & something else all in the same visit in January.

2-3 weeks later... POW! Loss of Appetite, lesions, abscess, surgeries, anti-biotics, steroids... thousands of dollars! She lost 1/2 her weight & almost died if not for a friend recommending a new Vet & diagnosing it as an auto-immune response to the Vaccinations & treating her with the proper steroids & medications.

She is currently back up to the same weight, her lesions have stopped, off her medications & she is a very happy dog!

Spreading out required vaccines and even titer testing to determine if sufficient immunity remains to waive a given required vaccination is a very wise thing to do with an elderly or sickly dog. It really is. If people love their animals they need to consider this.
