Rep. Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) said there will be no litmus tests for candidates as Democrats seek to find a winning roster to regain the House majority in 2018.
There is not a litmus test for Democratic candidates, said Luján, Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee chairman. As we look at candidates across the country, you need to make sure you have candidates that fit the district, that can win in these districts across America.
In taking the position, Luján and Democrats risk alienating liberals, as well as groups dedicated to promoting access to abortion and reproductive health services that represent the core of the partys base. Throwing weight behind anti-choice candidates is bad politics that will lead to worse policy, said Mitchell Stille, who oversees campaigns for NARAL Pro-Choice America. The idea that jettisoning this issue wins elections for Democrats is folly contradicted by all available data.

You take one step off the reservation and you will be excoriated.
1) They are desperate.
2) LIFE is winning.
So? I’ve been excoriated before... Didn’t even leave a scar.
This is the Democrats plan.
1.) Behave like Republicans.
Claim to be something you’re not until the election, then turn 100% deep state, one-world, MIC swamp creature...
BS! Abortion is their #1 issue.
They are desperate. That’s how I read this The ones who want to win bad enough to see what’s really going on can see this. They’re probably devising a way for republicans to take the rap for abortion sake way they worked slavery, which, according to the research of D’Souza was democrat driven
There are no democrats with the functioning capacity of running who are pro life. So this is a safe statement for him
Fraudulent candidates. They role play as centrists/moderates or even conservative positions in areas they couldn’t win in otherwise, but support all the leftist agenda of their criminal party.
They are just pretending with a signal flag to see if any radicals salute it.
Translation: lie to get elected, then vote on abortion as we want you to.
Over at The Democratic Underground they’re ripping each other apart over this issue. It’s getting entertainingly ugly.
Sure, you can be a pro-life candidate. We just won’t allow you to put forward any pro-life legislation.
Thanks for the heads up—going to check it out now.
From the Latin roots- Excoriated must be the first part of a heart transplant operation.
Did DNC Chair Tom Perez ever walk back his vows not to let pro-lifers get elected on the democrat ticket? He’s been awfully quiet here lately.
See comment immediately above.
My post? #5? I saw it.
Democrats would happily run people opposed to abortion, folks who back Trump and active members of the NRA. These shills are a way back to power... place holders until they can be replaced by real democrats...
If these 'place holder shills' get elected they will have ZERO power to do anything. Democrats would run Trump Jr. if he would run for them... anything and anyone so long as they get control of Congress back. When that happens Nancy and Chuck will push their own agendas... not the agendas of the shills who got them back in power.
“This is the Democrats plan.
1.) Behave like Republicans.”
Truman said, “I may not win running as a Democrat, but I surely won’t win running as a Republican.”
Yeah, this seems like a losing formulae, but what do I know? Also, it may work in states with a preponderance of older Democrats. My dad was a Democrat until Reagan. He was a WWII vet, patriotic, union, and pro-American. He didn’t budge politically. But the Democratic party moved out from under him to the Left; so far Left he was appalled by them. Since then, they have not only continued Left, but have fractionated into tiny victim subgroups and abandoned the working class whites who kept them in power for the much of the Twentieth Century.
They need to do something to reinvent themselves, but what that is isn’t obvious to me. I only pray the Republicans come through on their lofty promises. So far I am not thrilled with Congress.
