North Korea 'Will Be Handled,' Trump Declares
U.S. President Donald Trump uttered assurances during the start of his Cabinet meeting on Monday morning that the threat from North Korea will be taken care of.
"Well handle North Korea. Were going to be able to handle them. It will be handled. We handle everything," Trump said in response to a question from a reporter.
Asked later in the day whether a U.S. response might include a first strike on North Korea, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders replied, "As we said many times before, the president's not going to broadcast any decisions, but all options are on the table."

Remarks by President Trump in Cabinet Meeting
Cabinet Room
10:07 A.M. EDT
THE PRESIDENT: Good morning. This is our first Cabinet meeting with General Kelly. He will be Chief of Staff, as you know. We all know him, we respect him, admire what hes done. And at Homeland, what he has done has been nothing short of miraculous. As you know, the border was a tremendous problem and theyre close to 80 percent stoppage. And even the President of Mexico called me -- they said their southern border, very few people are coming because they know theyre not going to get through our border, which is the ultimate compliment.
So I just want to congratulate him on the great job hes done with Homeland Security, and I have no doubt that he will be an absolutely superb Chief of Staff.
We were discussing a little while ago, before the meeting, how well were doing, however. We have the highest stock market in history. We have a GDP, on Friday -- it got very little mention, although I guess in the business areas it did. But it got, I think, very little mention. 2.6 is a number that nobody thought theyd see for a long period of time. Remember, I was saying we will hit three at some point in the not-too-distant future, and everybody smiled and they laughed and they thought wed be at one. And 2.6 is an unbelievable number, announced on Friday.
Unemployment is the lowest it's been in 17 years. Business enthusiasm is about as high as theyve ever seen it. In fact, it is as high -- the highest point in 28 years according to a certain graph and a certain chart. The manufacturers are -- the enthusiasm level is incredible. We have a lot of tremendous things going. We have some interesting situations that well handle: North Korea, Middle East, lots of problems that we inherited from previous administrations. But well take care of them. Well take care of them very well.
But, overall, I think were doing incredibly well. The economy is doing incredibly well, and many other things. So were starting from a really good base. I predict that General Kelly will go down, in terms of the position of Chief of Staff, one of the great ever. And were going to have a good time, but, much more importantly, were going to work hard and were going to make America great again.
Its all about making America great again. Thats what were going to do. Thats what I said. Thats how we won this big election. And thats what were in the process of doing and continuing.
And, General, its really great to have you on board, and thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you.
Thank you very much, everybody.
Q Mr. President, what can you do about North Korea?
THE PRESIDENT: Well handle North Korea. Were going to be able to handle them. It will be handled. We handle everything. Thank you very much.

A first strike on Kim Un-hinged would be a big mistake - politically. Militarily might be the correct thing to do.

I wonder how China would react if we were to station two carriers,a number of other warships and a couple of our boomers a few hundred miles east of the Korean peninsula.Their reaction would tell a lot about what we have to look forward to with this fat psychopath.

Yeah, I gotta say, not much that comes out of the President’s mouth instills a lot of confidence anymore.

I’m still of the opinion that if we shoot down the next NK missile that goes up as a warning and then announce the next one we intercept we will launch one of our own in retaliation will stop the madness.

That will probably be the next action. If that fails the desired outcome all bets are off.

Excellent point. I was thinking the same thing as I was reading the article.
To: tgusa
Thanks. I copied it from some article about Cuba, iirc.

We already have 2 carrier groups in the area and you can bet at least 2 boomers within range, not to mention attack subs. Plus, we just did a close flyover with 2 nuke capable stealth bombers a week or so back.
I personally don't believe China would do a damn thing other than some Security Council whining and military posturing. Why would they want to attack their "golden goose", America? As for Russia, they would probably move some stuff around, but do little else since they have no dog in the fight.
I think that the World would be happy to see that crazed fat f*ck and his loyalists eliminated. Unless there is plan to eliminate the NORK artillery, Seoul would pay dearly. However, we just moved most of our troops some 40 miles south. Something is going to happen within this year. And no, I don't care about NORK collateral damage. I'm still glad that Dresden, Hamburg, Berlin, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, got what they deserved.
That said, I agree with a poster above who recommended shooting down the next NORK ICBM test with the warning next one will provide consequences beyond imagination.

Shoot down next to impossible. Pipe dream.
(Now, sabotage on the launch pad is a whole different area, or scrambling telemetry or planting viruses in comm/control software.) :-)
To: A Navy Vet
It’s all saber rattling and talk so far. The key indicator that we are about to strike has not been observed. When it is ordered within USFK or by the US Embassy, Seoul, THEN you will know its “showtime.” Until then? Talk talk talk. Sad thing is, Pyongyang knows this, too.
