07.31.17 Anthony Scaramucci RESIGNS as White House Communications Director Comes less than a week after hiring

JULY 31, 2017 Washington, DC (ABC/WBEN) Anthony Scaramucci resigns as White House Communications Director.

This comes the same day John Kelly was sworn in as Chief of Staff. Sources tell ABC Scaramucci resigned, asking to be redeployed at the Export Import Bank as chief strategy officer.

Scaramucci had not been on the job less than a week. It may be most memorable for an expletive-laden conversation with a New Yorker reporter that disparaged other members of the Trump team.

Well there is a contingent on here who things Trump walks on water. That he can do literally NO wrong. I expected a lot of upheaval; what i did NOT expect was his ineptitude in assembling a staff. POTUS has run a business, and has hired and fired people for decades. And he hired THIS guy for his communications director?? Thats what is disheartening.

Even the best bosses can be blindsided by a BS artist ... or, in this case, a guy whose mouth decided to write checks his bonafides couldn’t cover. Trump gives you a chance to shine, but if you screw up this badly in the first two weeks? YOU’RE FIRED!

>> So much for Bannon being booted, eh? <<

If Bannon is allowed to work around Gen. Kelly and deal with the POTUS directly as a matter of routine, either Bannon or Kelly will have to leave the WH. It’s inevitable. You just don’t mess with a Marine combat veteran, much less a Marine four-star.

That’s actually not a bad spin! (And I really do mean that as a compliment.) But even assuming you are right, the optics are terrible.

The “real Trump” could NEVER run a successful business with this level of ineptitude.

Come on, Trump gives his biggest interviews to the Times. They distort, they leave out, they slant and they spew leftist opinions. But they still have reporters competent for getting the news—and appear again here to have been Trump’s chosen vehicle for a scoop.

Come on, there is no way Trump meant to bring the Mooch in with all the hoopla just to nudge three guys out before himself getting canned on day 10.

And thoroughly entertaining to boot. :)

*************

I don’t see it as entertaining. If anything, its erratic and dysfunctional, and we should all be getting concerned at this point.

The country is facing very serious problems that require sober and consistent leadership. I admit to seeing the tweets as somewhat entertaining (and even essential so that the president can get his message out beyond the media firewall) but the WH needs order and consistency to be effective. I hope and pray Kelly is able to impose discipline and stabilize things.

Just my humble opinion.

No, Trump doesn’t need to make a show of hiring a prominent guy and then firing him in 10 days just to have him tell three employees they need to go.

Loses his job, his wife & kid - all in one week’s time.

The only thing left to lose would be the truck and the dog and we could make a country western song out of him..........

Forgot to include that this all occurs while he is off to visit his mama in prison while wearing a bowtie.

I think you’re right. Like a plumber. He comes in a fixes the leaks. Then he goes. Who would want a plumber as a permanent resident in the spare bedroom?

It’s way better than admitting that the prez might have messed up a little.

With another President I think you would be right.

But the fact is that President Trump has not put a single doot wrong since he came down those stairs at Trump tower in summer 2015.

He’s a master strategist and has been two steps ahead of everyone else all the way

I just checked twitter and neither Trump nor The Mooch show this. The story says sources at the WH

Is this a sting to catch leakers?
