The reality is that once a government gives something out, it is impossible to take it back. Scott thinks in the context of that reality. Where he errs is calling it Health Care, what he really means is Health Insurance. There’s not a single thing wrong with Health Care in this country, it’s top notch. It will never be evenly distributed to all citizens, just like good housing and fine food. Scott is a pragmatic libertarian. He challenges my thinking on this issue, as I have nothing but contempt for McCain. But ultimately I share his optimism.
Not impossible, just difficult and rare.
That was my point. I agree with the rest of your post up until "optimism." I'd have said something like, "I pretty much agree with his analysis."
McCain: Let’s see ya make America great NOW Donald.
President Trump: McCain you magnificent dumbass you played right into my hands!!!! Muahahahahah!
“”Where he errs is calling it Health Care, what he really means is Health Insurance””
I wish there was an emphasis on that when the subject is discussed. You are absolutely correct.
My husband and I never had need of much “health care” besides yearly checkups until retirement. After three hospitalizations for my husband and a bout with bladder cancer, we don’t have any complaints with the care provided.
Perhaps with the schlocky front office attention to detail but with the care - NO! Others may have had different experiences.
