Term limits would be a good start, followed by a drastic trimming down of retirement benefits after only a short time of “public service.” An immediate change should force everyone in government to come under Obamacare, giving up their gold standard private healthcare, much different than what they forced on the American people. After these things, put into place restrictions on other government jobs they can get after being in office. Make them go back to private life after being in the Congress. Election to that body should not be like winning the lottery.
Term limits are fine, but we need to be more aggressive in the primary process. RINO supporters do not vote in the primaries like conservatives, so we need to clean house.....and that includes the people at the top, like McConnell and Ryan.
Congressmen get their healthcare the same way employees get their healthcare, this is why they are exempt from Obamacare.
I suggest we turn all elected politicians into independent contractors. Let them file quarterly taxes, find their own healthcare (Obamamcare) and figure out how to survive as a small business.
I think there is a segment of the GOP (such as me) who do not want to repeal Obamacare, unless the GOP sets it up, so that some people are not left out of coverage.
I know this is NOT the general feeling here on FR, from J Thompson down, but I think there is enough of this feeling out there, that the GOP cannot currently seem to satisfy the large majority, while still keeping the coverage which some of us really want to keep.
I really think Trump needs to focus on another issue for a while.
Healthcare is a potential huge landmine. It really is.
Focus on something else for a while.
Just my .02.
>I really think Trump needs to focus on another issue for a while.
Trump appears to be gearing up for war with Congress. The GOP congress is going to get in line he’s going to punish them.
Makes sense to me
Well Lamar Alexander is unfortunately not up for reelection
REPEALING THE 17TH AMENDMENT WILL TAKE CHANGING THE US CONSTITUTION, NEVER AN FAST OR EASY PROFECT.

You don’t have a problem with the individual mandate and its potential for setting a precedent? It’s not just having given the government an inch and their taking a mile, it’s them taking the futures of Americans into their bloody elitist hands.
TN NEEDS TO GO TO CLOSED PRIMARIES, SO DEMS CAN’T CROSS PARTLINES TO VOTE RINOS IN.
I thought there was an election in November and voters showed by their choice of President that they wanted no longer an Unaffordable Health plan
I don’t know.
It seems to this poster, more likely we have a bigger fish in front of us at the moment.
North Korea just launched an ICBM which appears to be able to hit the mainland of America.
This seems to be a make or break, moment. Healthcare is important, but not like this.
Mind you, I don’t know that, but that is what I think anyway.
Thier investment portfolios guarenteed are invested in the crap care pay to play insurance companies
Remove them and seven more will step forward to protect and further their real agenda. I’m wondering if the list of those who actually support their campaign issues would be shorter.
It is not the government's job to provide health care. That is socialism. Return health care to the private market and 99% of the people will be covered. This is a generous county, private and religious charities will take care of the rest.
>North Korea just launched an ICBM which appears to be able to hit the mainland of America.
Trump been prepping the ground work for months on North Korea. We’re going to blockade or stop trade with China to force them to pull North Korea back.
Given their sudden advancement in ICBM tech it seems like they China’s giving them the tech or the missiles so we need to deal with the big dog rather than the puppy.
The House Republicans are united, why can't the Senate Republicans be?
Take him out by ANY MEANS NECESSARY, NOW !
