My theory is that the Awan guy knows about at least one of the murders. If the heat gets turned up on him he’ll make a deal. That would be enough to incapacitate several of the swamp dwellers, I would think. So we should expect that Awan will soon be reported to have been set free due to a misunderstanding, or to have suffered an accidental suicide while wandering through Ft. Marcy park.

I think your post is dead on.
I too am convinced that Seth supplied WikiLeaks, not Awan.
But that Awan could have ID’ed Seth as the leaker to the DNC, and pretended to be Guccifer 2.0, fits all of this into a neat little box of motives, and is something that I never thought of.
This means Awan knows everything about Seth. No wonder DWS is sh!tting bricks!
