There is a Christian archeologist that is claiming such a thing linking it as well to the abrupt destruction of the Minoan civilization at the same instant. He doesn’t deny that God had a hand in it however....indeed he thinks a meteor impact was God’s instrument.
Good for him; I’m surprised he was given a platform from which to share that. Cable TV shows concerning Christianity/Jesus are almost all designed to weaken faith, either questioning events in the life of Jesus or trying to explain His Father’s Old Testament punishments with natural alternatives.
