Wow. How bad is it when a billionaire real estate tycoon connects with the working class and the media can’t? How out of touch can anyone be before that happens?


Long ago, those in the press could sympathize with the middle class because the press was the middle class. The press was on the outside; an observer of the power class. Think of someone like Mike Royko of the Chicago Tribune.

Now, many in the MSM are a part of the power class. They’re the insiders. They’re ranch-raised in D.C. and have no idea what it’s like to work a middle class job and struggle to make ends meet. They look down on those in the middle class with contempt and have no sympathy for them. They are now part of the elites.

Truer words were never written. Reference your Mike Royko, in the San Francisco Bay Area we once had Herb Caen. He too was a man of the people, loved his city, and would be aghast to see what has happened to the once very memorable City By The Bay.
